2.1. An Introduction to Pocket Queries

Pocket Queries are custom geocache queries you can download or have emailed to you on a daily or weekly basis. If you are interested in hunting only specific types of geocaches with specific attributes, this is how you can search for them. For example: You are only interested in traditional geocaches that are dog-friendly, with an easy terrain and difficulty.

A Pocket Query makes it easy to search by geocache type, size, difficulty, location, conditions and more.

A special query is available, My Finds. This query is found at the bottom of the Pocket Query page, in the grey background pane. It will return all the geocaches you have found, with no limit on that number, and it will return archived geocaches. It will return all of  your log entries on those geocaches.

They are in a format you can bring along with you on geocache hunts on your GPS,  PDA or smartphone. You can select a GPX or LOC text file that works with supported software applications. Because of the detailed queries, each search can run only once per day. You may run up to 5 pocket queries in every 24 hour period, each returning up to 1000 geocaches.
